Guitar Skins - Acoustic And Electric Guitar "Tattoos"

June 04, 2007
Guitar Skins custom and preset guitar design at the Chicago Guitar Show
Everybody wants a unique look, and bands always need a new place to put graphics - how about right on the guitar? Guitar Skins showed off their wares for the Gearwire cameras - custom art on acoustic or electric guitars. It's sort of like a tattoo parlor for your axe, and just like getting a tattoo, you can choose from a stock of readymade images if you can't think up something otherwise. Check out the Gearwire video shot at the 2007 Chicago Guitar Show to learn more.
See the Guitar Skins selection at their website.

MIKE OLIVERA: This is Mike Olivera from Guitar Skins. We’re basically an alternative graphic guitar solution. We do custom graphics on your -- you want to say acoustic guitars or electric guitars, and we can basically take any image that you’re looking to do and make your guitar your own. It’s one of those things that we kind of pride ourselves on graphic ability. But we can -- If you have a guitar, you can send it to us at guitarskins.net. You can send it in, we take the dimensions on it, and we also do -- We’ll give you a production proof off the Internet, basically what the guitar is going to look like when it’s finished. So, all the production proofs are pretty much true what they’re going to come out.

The guitar itself all we need basically is the body. Sometimes we’ll strip down the body and the pickups and things of that sort through having a setup and that’s pretty much it.

I need awesome gear... I'd like a free gear catalog!
My opinion is awesome. I'd like to take a gear survey
