That Guitar Strap Guy at the Chicago Guitar Show
Even if you aren't into dressing up for performance, you can at least dress your guitar. Don't have that groovy American-made Fender Strat you've been lusting after? You can still trick out the one you're stuck playing with laser-etched graphics from That Guitar Strap Guy. The company promises to customize your strap with a band logo, slogan, or a anything else you can manage to fit on the strap. It wouldn't be a guitar show without the accesssories vendors, so naturally Gearwire checked out some of the designs on the floor of the 2007 Chicago Guitar Show.

That Guitar Strap Guy

I was INCREDIBLY impressed with "That Guitar Strap Guy's" website, but it appears as though they have gone out of business. Some companies boast custom straps for $400, but they are not nearly as artistic. Does anyone know of a company that makes comparable straps at a reasonable price?

THAT GUITAR STRAP GUY REPRESENTATIVE: We’re That Guitar Strap Guy. We’re online. We offer personalized guitar straps, kind of unlimited graphics, and we have 33 different font options. You can get graphics like one strap we did for Blackbird Studios out of Nashville, Tennessee. If you’re a band, we can do your band logo on the straps. These are all [SOUNDS LIKE] laser X graphics.

We’ve got a couple of different options for ordering straps. You can order some of our standard graphics which you can have 500 different graphic options, 33 different font options, or you can send us your particular graphics so we can do custom work like that. We’ve got straps like the one we did for the guitar show here where “Chicago Rocks” with the skyline of Chicago in the background. Pretty much any kind of graphics you got we can do a lasered version of the strap.
