Hammerax Liquicy Cymbals Are A Percussive Wave Of The Future

Hammerax Liquicy Cymbals

Hammerax's Liquicy cymbals are really a sight to behold. As a cymbal that makes sound a more visible experience, Liquicy is a fitting name as the cymbal flows and bends during performance.

Hitting these cymbals around the edges produces a fluttering crash with natural flange and vibrato effects, and various sweet spots around the cymbal provide a mellower washing tone. The versatility of the cymbal as an instrument really comes to life here.

Mounting the cymbal upside-down even changes the cymbals' sound by speeding up the vibrato / phasing speed, and since Liquicy cymbals are constantly shifting sound because of the physical flange wave, no single tone ever creates a peak ensuring smooth cymbal play.

Since words can't do Liquicy cymbals justice, check out this video from PASIC 2007 from Hammerax of Walfred Reyes, Jr. showing off the Liquicy cymbals.
