Hammond G37: Guitar Amp Gets A Leslie At Winter NAMM 2008
January 28, 2008
We were more than happy to check out the Hammond G37, the first Leslie speaker system with a guitar amp built in for easy access to that vintage rotary speaker sound. The G37 was designed to accommodate anything a guitarist would want in a Leslie including a new middle rate to hit that vibrating sweet spot of tone.
Speaking of things that sound dirty, the G37 has a nice, gritty drive to it in addition to the shimmering clean. Give it a listen, and check out more -- we're excited to hear this bad boy with an acoustic running through it.

The amp itself sounds a little disappointing, but I'd love to get a Leslie on its own to run my own amps through.
