Antares, providers of hardware and software tools for vocalists, has released Harmony Engine for RTAS, AU, and VST formats. Harmony Engine is a vocal modeling harmony generator (hence the name). This software "humanizes" the vocal parts by using throat modeling to process the audio through a model of the human voice tract, according to an Antares press release.

"With four independent harmony voices, a variety of powerful harmony generating modes, humanization features for natural sounding performances, and a flexible real-time preset system for harmony and vocal type, Harmony Engine provides easy-to-use tools to quickly and easily produce professional vocal arrangements in virtually any style."

Features include the ability to control chords via MIDI, including assigning each voice a seperate MIDI channel. Users can also use a preset matrix to create a variety of harmony settings and control them in real time.
