Harmony H62 Artist

From the tailpiece to the volume and tone knobs, Chris Laguna of Harmony Guitars shows us the lengths Harmony went to in order to bring the Harmony H62 Artist (et al) back into production after four and a half decades out of the factories. Check out the Artist in action, and hear it here first, unless you've heard it somewhere else beforehand.

Harmony doesn't answer their telephone. It's virtually impossible to find a case for this guitar. No matter how nice the axe is, If I can't speak to someone at the factory with questions that I have, or if I can't find a case for it..I DON'T WANT IT!

WAKE UP HARMONY!

Relax guys. I spoke with the factory this afternoon. They are in the process of moving to a new warehouse, hence people are BUSY. Normally, Chris will be able to answer all your questions. I bought a H-62 from them today, and they are MORE than accomodating! I give em a thumbs up, and I've been playing the blues for 40 years.

P13 pickups in the reissue

By: Paul (not verified)

For the folks who have had the opportunity to demo or own the reissue, how do the reissue pickups compare to the originals? I.e.. I don't see Jr. Watson or any of the contemporary jump blues/swing/bebop players playing the reissue yet, just wondering why not? Appreciate feedback, I don't have one but envy those that do and am considering one if I can't find a good original.5

Looks, sound and plays great. Beautiful guitar. P-13
pickups are crisp and versatile. I'll be playing this
guitar for a long time. Cases can be found if you
search it out.
Thanks Charlie,

CHRIS LAGUNA: My name is Chris Laguna, and I am the VP of sales and marketing for Harmony.

Here we have the H62 Artist in the blond finish. We actually put a flame maple back on it, which was an add-on but it actually gives it a lot more character to the guitar. Also, the knobs that we did. These are the old Bakelite knobs that we remolded along with the original tailpiece, and just a wonderful warm sounding vintage guitar.

Another thing we did with this guitar to keep it just like the original was we actually put the mother of pearl inlays along with the headstock logo design. So, this is all an inlay; it's not a decal. And also the pickguard we re-did, the old tortoiseshell, so it keeps the same vintage look. And this is also available in a sunburst color and the original blond finish.
