Harrison Consoles Mixbus, The Virtual Analog Console
How do you stay true to your analog roots in a digital world? Harrison Consoles hopes to relieve your dilemma not by providing you with top-notch analog equipment, but by introducing a digital replacement for analog and calling its technological innovation True Analog Mixing.
The company's new release, Mixbus (Mac; $79.99), is a virtual analog console that integrates into a DAW. It provides true analog mixing functions in a knob-per-function interface, enabling you to record, edit, and mix within "the box" or shall we say, screen.
Mixbus features an analog equipment-like “knob per function” mixer layout based on Harrison's 32-series and MR-series music consoles; precision DSP algorithms for EQ, Filter, Compression, Analog Tape Saturation, and Summing; unlimited stereo or mono input channels; four Stereo Mix Buses; a Stereo Master Bus; plugin delay compensation; and metering options. The virtual analog console supports Audio Units and any CoreAudio interface.
