Hartke AC150 And AC75 Demo Videos

[PH] ROB GAROFALO: Hi. [PH] Rob Garofalo back here at the Hartke Booth, Summer NAMM Austin 2006, with the new Hartke AC150 acoustic guitar amplifier. Now you notice right off the bat that Hartke does a few things differently with our acoustic amplifiers just like all of our other amplifiers. We have four 4” drivers in there comprising the mid-range for this 150-watt amplifier. But also you’ll notice a full-range velocity ribbon in the center handles all the high frequency. That velocity ribbon gives us a smooth frequency response across the entire high end of the spectrum and a very, very natural sound.
The goal here is to reproduce the acoustic guitar in a natural sounding way exactly like the acoustic guitar sounds with no amplification. So, we use smaller drivers, we use 150 watt split out between three amplifiers, and we use a 4’ ribbon high frequency transducer. This amplifier has 24-bit digital effects built in, an internal mic pre for anybody who wants to be a one-man band. We have a seven-band graphic EQ on the master output. It’s 150 watts and $599, and boy does it sound natural. Chris is going to play a little bit for us.

ROB GAROFALO: Thank you. In addition to the AC150, Hartke also has the AC75 acoustic ribbon amplifier that uses two mid-range drivers as well as the full-range high frequency ribbon driver, 75 watts, $499, and also includes the 24-bit DSP effects and seven-band graphic EQ.
