Hercules Mobile DJ MP3: Let's Get This Party Stopped!
You know how speed dating can be. One second things seem to be going swimmingly, the next second you mention that you like to be referred to as "SIR" Paul McCartney and everything jut spirals out of control. So it went with Bill and the Hercules Mobile DJ MP3 controller.
I was actually kinda digging the sounds Bill wrangled out of the thing at first, until he got to the effects section, and had to resort to the mouse to access them. Umm, what's the point of making the thing mobile at that point? Just sayin'

Now the crossfader is a little bit finicky on this, and it gets stuck very easily. It's not a very good crossfader as you'll see. There's a little bit of a lag.

And also if I get -- if I try to nudge it and do blending, any type of blending like you're doing house music or techno is going to be a problem like for New-York-style mixtape DJ this is fine, but you'll notice it's not even all the way over and there's nothing coming in from my right side.

Now, another big problem I have with this unit, but it's nice that they have it, is they have your cue, your filter, and you're gain switch all here. So, if I want to play back these loops again...,

...hit sync so they sync up...,

...and then what I want to do is go over here, pull out my load...,

...the turn the loop off.

And again, as you go you hit sync to resync everything.

There are few other things you can do again. This is switch is of tune and scratch. It's two different ways of moving the jog shuttle. When it's on scratch...,

...move through the record like that. Hit tune just allows you to kind of push the record the way you would normally although it feels nothing like a real record or even CDJs so be warned of that.
