H.G. Fortune Anvilia: From The Guys That Brought You Crucibilia
What is the name "Anvilia" supposed to evoke, I wonder? There's the obvious "anvil" root in there, but "-ia" lends the synth an air of the fantastic -- like, "yeah it's used to forge swords. . . FOR ELF KINGS!"
Before I hoist my dork flag any higher: H.G. Fortune Anvilia is your basic soft synth with enough virtual knobs and emulated VCOs to make any tweak junky drool. The main feature of the Anvilia (and the feature that sets it apart from the many other VSTi's out there) is something called the "Enhanced Colorizer" which adds "spectral color layers." If this sounds suspiciously like dialogue from Ghostbusters, maybe you'd best be served by just downloading the free demo and gettin' to fiddlin'.
If you're more interested in reading about the features instead of experiencing them (delayed gratification. . . I can dig), enjoy this spec list:
- Two Oscillators with 128 waveforms as external sf2
- One enhanced Colorizer including HP Filter and EG to add additional "spectral color" layers
- Six LFO and one Sample&Hold incl. One dedicated pitch mod LFO
- One 24db LowPass filter with resonance and EG (ADSR)
- One Amp EG (ADSR)
- One Delay BPM synced and can be modulated by selectable source
- LKO function for Delay (LastKeyOff unleashes full delay amount as set by DlyLvl)
- LoBoost & Saturator
- Pan modulateble by selectable LFO and option to switch between normal Pan and Delay to opposite direction
- Four Lazy buttons
- Eight voices
- 10 Selectable background skins
- Includes three patchbanks translating to 312 presets
