Homegrown Sounds WAV Recorder X Improves Upon Freeware

HGS WAV Recorder X

If you don't like buying stripped down WAV recorders for free, check out HGS WAV Recorder X. It's a VST plugin that adds some more advanced features to the groundwork laid by the freer, more basic WAV Recorder. Most notably, you can now perform simultaneous recordings throughout the host when record is enabled and likewise, in a second mode when the host is playing something back. Basically, it's a boon for recording several tracks in a project in simultaneous realtime for importation into different sequencers.

WAV Recorder X also names its files by the date and time you started a recording with a numeric suffix tacked on to keep you from recording over anything accidentally. The recording folder can be configured by a text file for easily manipulable organization.

Lastly, you can perform time limited recordings to a maximum of 24 hours. That's enough time to boost 50 cars!

Fast Features:

  • 16 / 24 / 32 Bit Support
  • Records at Host Projects Sample Rate
  • Record in Host Play Mode only
  • Auto ID / Selectable ID per instance
  • Time Limited Recording up to 24 hours
  • Mono, Stereo and Sum Output Modes
  • Monitor Switch
  • Bypass -- Disables Sound output for silent recording
  • Record Level
  • Record Level Indicators
  • Open Last Recording Button
  • Configurable Storage Directory -- Open cfg file to change path, then click update to update the path
  • Open Recording Directory in Windows Explorer
  • Default -- Sets to the plugins default parameters
