Hosa Technology Da-Cappo DA12 Cardiod: Sing And Dance Hands And Feedback Free
Singing drummers and dancing pop stars have all embraced the small earset microphone, giving them a lot of freedom to move about while being able to talk, sing, or scream. At one point, Hosa Technology had brought forth their most popular Da-Cappo microphone, the DA12. Its omnidirectional polar pattern however is a turn-off for these performers as it picks up other sounds and noises besides their singing, such as those foot stomps in certain dance moves they do. Taking these into consideration, the Hosa Technology DA12 Cardioid earset microphone has been released to address these needs.
The DA12 Cardiod's capsule has been derived from its omnidirectional cousin. It has a sensitivity rating of -51 dB and a maximum SPL rating of 130 dB, making it ideal for vocal performances. Add to that the new cardioid polar pickup pattern and excellent off-axis rejection via a front-facing capsule precisely placed near the corner of the performer's mouth, the DA12 Cardioid exhibits maximum rejection at the rear end of the capsule. This ensures that stage performers no longer have to worry about feedback emanating from stage monitors as the mic is focused on just capturing those vocal nuances.
This new earset microphone also features the hypoallergenic cushion that DA12s have for long-wearing comfort, which also conceals a spring-steel mechanism that allows adjustment of the earpiece to suit ears of all sizes. It also features the same adjustable boom and modular cable, and the entire package includes a lavaliere-style mic clip, zippered leatherette microphone case, cable, cable clip, and pop filter. The DA12 cardioid comes is available in three colors: beige, coffee, and black. An optional wireless adapter is being sold separately.
The Hosa Technology Da-Cappo DA12 Cardioid Earset Microphone is now available for purchase with a price of 499.00 USD (MSRP).
