Hottie Pickups: A Sound And Attitude Towards Women That's Pure 1950s
Back when legs were gams, Germans were Gerry and it was acceptable to say things like "she's broad where a broad should be broad" about the secretary you're recommending your boss hire, Seth Lover invented the first Humbucking Pickups. Hottie Amplifiers Hottie Pickups are an attempt to recreate that 1950s sound, and to resurrect the aesthetic of the 1950s hot-rodders at the same time. Not that the hot-rod aesthetic ever went away, but -- never mind.
Developed in conjunction with Seymour Duncan, the Hottie Pickups are styled after the Gibson "PAF" humbuckers, except with a little "flame" graphic etched onto the nickle or chrome cover (your choice). the internal design features:
- Wax Potted
- Vintage Correct Enamel-Coated Wire
- Single Conductor Braided Cable (4-Conductor available)
The "Neck" and "Bridge" models have slightly difference output specs (the bridge being slightly hotter), and they pickups are available in matched sets, or individually. Single, non-etched Hottie Pickups are $99 US a piece, singles with the flames are $149 US each, and the sets go from $199 US for "Neck Plain/Bridge Flames" up to $249 US for both pickups with flames.
