Hughes And Kettner Present The BK 300 Bass Amp
ROB WARMOWSKI: Hey everybody, welcome. From the floor of Musikmesse 2007 in lovely Frankfurt, Germany, I’m Rob for Gearwire. We’re here with Raoul Walton of New York City. How are you doing, Raoul?
RAOUL WALTON: Oh, I’m doing fine. I’m having a good time here, loving it here in Frankfurt, you know.
ROB WARMOWSKI: Nice.
RAOUL WALTON: Good place to be.
ROB WARMOWSKI: We’re here at the Hughes & Kettner booth, and Raoul just got through with the set, playing on the BK300 bass amp from Hughes & Kettner, and what do you like about the BK300?
RAOUL WALTON: Well, I think it’s a really fine amp that you can use for gigs that are medium to large scale. You have a very good round tone with the amp, and it doesn’t cost that much. Most of the time, you know, guys want to have a good sound, want to have a good amp, but you know it’s going and going to about $2,000 to $3,000 or more usually for a combo, and this one is like around $600, not even. And you got a great sound, you got something reliable you can work with, and you don’t have to fool around with it too much to make it work.
ROB WARMOWSKI: And this is a solid state combo. Is that right?
RAOUL WALTON: Yes it is.
ROB WARMOWSKI: So let’s check it out a little bit. Why don’t you show us a few notes through there.
