Ibanez JEM77B
DAN AGOSTO: Hi. Welcome to Gearwire.Com. I'm here checking out the Steve Vai Signature Ibanez JEM77B. It's a Prestige guitar from Ibanez, which means I's made in their Prestige factory.
This of course is a patented Steve Vai Rock Mirror Finish, so you can probably see a good amount of our studio in the guitar, but that's over a basswood body. And we got a five piece maple-walnut neck on here, you can see the back on there, and that's a bolt-on neck as you can see. We got 24 large frets on here so that goes pretty high. Rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays, and we got a brass locking nut, and this helps the guitar stay in tune when you're doing those divebombs. We got a covered truss rod for adjustment and of course the Ibanez logo and chrome hardware all around.
We move back down, we can take a look at the bridge. This is a floating Edge Pro bridge. [TESTS BRIDGE] We don't have the bar on it but you can go both ways and the nut helps it stay in tune. As for pickups on here, we got DiMarzio Breed pickups. We got the DiMarzio Breed humbucking neck, DiMarzio Breed single coil, and DiMarzio Breed humbucking. Let's hear what the neck pickup sounds like.

It's a nice rhythm tone. In between the humbucking and single.

All right, and let's listen to just the single coil.

Of course we have all the knobs up all the way for these, and let's just listen to the high output Breed pickup at the bridge.

All right, and this guitar also comes with an Ibanez Prestige case molded for the shape of the guitar, and of course it has the Ibanez Prestige logo on the front panel. It's a high-quality case with a plush inside. You also get your little utility spaces, so it's a nice case to get with the guitar.
All right. Well, thanks for checking out this guitar here with us at Gearwire.Com. I hope you can check out more.
