Ibanez Wows 'Em With New Slipknot, SA Series Guitars
May 08, 2006
Ibanez unveiled the new, ultra-rawkin' Mick Thomson MTM1BR signature guitar, as well as some attractive new SA models. (For the uninitiated, Mick Thomson plays guitar for the nu-metal band Slipknot.) The MTM1BR features a neck-thru-body design, 24 jumbo frets, a mahogany body, two EMG pickups, and a fixed-edge tremolo system that locks down for tuning stability. In the looks department, it sports a blood-red finish with black appointments and the letters s-e-v-e-n as inlays on the fretboard. Also shown is Ibanez's newly designed SA series, with flame maple top, your choice of bolt-on or neck-thru design, and a push/pull volume pot that splits the humbucker.
