IK Multimedia AmpliTube Fender Lauded by Invisible Gearwire Staffer
It has been a while since we here at Gearwire had the time to hang out in front of a computer and be like, "Hey, let's record me messing around and tape it and put it on the site!"
And actually we still don't have time for dumb stuff like that; so instead we planned out a nice demo and made sure it was cohesive and useful. Here, you will find Part One of a thorough introduction to IK Multimedia's AmpliTube Fender. Follow it closely and soon you, too, can be internet-famous.
IK Multimedia responds to our comment about Amplitube Fender being a "processor hog":
"[An easy way to improve performance is to] open up the preferences and disable some of the higher-resolution settings. . . Upping the buffer setting to 4000+ will make the plug-in unusable in terms of latency, but doesn't give a massive processor savings compared to just disabling the oversampling.
"Also. . . The Vibratone cab automatically sends the lower frequencies to a separate cab, so running it is like running 2 cabs. With the third cab added plus the amp's spring reverb. . . That's like opening 4 convolution reverbs on one track; of course it will tax your system unless you disable the high-resolution setting."

I've tried it and its sounds
I've tried it and its sounds sweet. Based on my twenty years studio job and 25 years guitar player experience, at today's standars is a no brainer. It only lacks of that "magic" experience of purchasing an amp, smeling it, plug it in and dreaming of superstardom. Who really cares after all? The only matters is how your music sounds in that Ipod
