IK Multimedia StealthPedal: Footprint Sized Pedal Controls Amplitube With Smaller Footprint

January 15, 2009
IK Multimedia StealthPedal

Controlling "Powered By AmpliTube" software (or any MIDI controllable software including virtual instruments and DAWs) has, for some reason, become shrouded with secrecy thanks to the StealthPedal, a wah-style pedal / interface / software controller that lets you do your thing without drawing the same attention to yourself that a larger controller would garner. If you're feeling extra-confident that you won't be discovered, you can expand the StealthPedal with an optional two-button footswitch and another expression pedal.

This USB powered interface / controller combo lets you record guitar or bass at 24-bit / 44.1 (or 48) kHz quality. There are two separate inputs for Hi-Z and line level, a pair of balanced 1/4" outputs and third headphone output. You can associate the expression pedal and footswitch with any parameter in the software you're controlling.

The StealthPedal, much like the Stealth Bomber, sports a rugged enclosure that cannot be detected on most radar systems. Three LED indicators employ multiple functions as a status display, tuner or level indicator. The circuit design of this multi-purposeful pedal stems from IK's StompIO controller. But this pedal would be nothing without the proper software to control. The collection of software you get includes AmpliTube 2 Live, AmpliTube X-Gear and Sonoma Riffowrks T4.
