IPerform3D Launches IPerform3D Site: 24/7 Online 3D Guitar Lessons
Motion capture animation, gaming technology, top shelf guitar instructors, and guitar lessons come together for the new Web site launched by iPerform3D.
At iPerform3D, all lessons and instructional content is available online 24/7, allowing you to study, practice, and learn at your own pace, whenever or wherever is most convenient. Each lesson provides step by step tips on various guitar techniques, as well as provides performance notes, guides on how to set up your gear for the right tone, and on-demand and printable TAB.
How does iPerform3D teach you to play guitar? IPerform3D makes use of the company's MoCap360 motion capture technology, similar to what is used to develop games and the latest in cinematic technology. By incorporating 360-degree capture, iPerform3D provides lessons in digital 3D and also allows you to view the lesson from any angle. Using this technology, you can literally zoom in underneath the picking hand and slow down the motion capture to see exactly how the instructor is playing the music. In addition, iPerform3D helps students better understand the positioning of the fretting hand; you, the viewer, can angle in for a bird’s eye view as if you are right there, looking over the teacher's shoulder.
With the full 3D capture, you can understand the approach, the technique, and the method to playing any style of music on the guitar. What's more, you can even zoom in from the back and look directly through the guitar and see exactly what the virtual guitarist is doing. IPerform3D gets its full performance capture by using nearly 100 motion sensors and cameras inside the company's own motion capture and sound stage studio.
The streaming guitar lessons featured on the site include mastering basic skills (strumming, fretting, and picking) and then intermediate and advanced skills needed to learn to play one's favorite hit songs. If you already know a certain technique or skill, you can progress to hundreds of lessons on building and playing different guitar riffs, styles, rhythms, and solos. The lesson collection also includes a library of backing tracks in a variety of styles. Because all of the files are fully digital, the photo-realistic imaging maintains its high resolution and the audio stays in pitch regardless of the tempo it is played, according to iPerform3D.
Read up on the iPerform3D company:
The company was founded by a group of musicians and technologists from diverse backgrounds who set out to change the way learning was achieved. Agreeing that a great teacher is still the best route, they set out to overcome the problems with finding one: time, money, availability, resources and skill level. They created an avatar instructor that provided students all the benefits of a first class instructor and eliminated the inconveniences associated with real one on one instruction. The avatar instructor now is available anytime the students wants; their terms, their schedule, and instructs the material they want to learn at a fraction of the price of an actual lesson. Aspiring students can now learns the styles of John Mayer, Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen, Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton and much more without the inconsistencies and road blocks of videos, DVDs, TAB, and music notation.
Full access to the iPerform3D Web site is available to subscribers for $19.95 per month. Learn more at iperform3d.com.

I think this could be more interesting than the other online guitar lesson. I admit that I never try a guitar lesson online, but I think this 3d concept makes me feel excited to try. Maybe I should try to visit iPerform3D website to have an idea about it.
