iZotope Nectar: New Vocal Processing Plugin Announced

November 05, 2010
iZotope Nectar plugin features vocal processing modules that allow you to customize recorded vocals in any musical style.

Sweeten up your recorded vocals with iZotope Nectar, a new plugin featuring a complete vocal processing toolkit.

Nectar includes dozens of professionally designed vocal production styles powered by 11 full-featured vocal processing modules: Pitch Correction, Breath Control, Compressors, DeEsser, Doubler, Saturation, EQ, Gate, Limiter, Delay, and Reverb. The Breath Control module offers a unique target mode that allows you to specify the desired level of breaths detected in the track. Meanwhile, the Pitch Correction module includes both auto and graphical pitch editing controls.

Using Nectar, you can select an included style and then customize it with faders tailored to that style. For further customization of your vocal sound, you can switch to the Advanced View and access all of the controls of the underlying modules that power the plugin.

"Nectar takes the pain out of vocal processing," says Hart Shafer, iZotope's vice president of product management. "The combination of its innovative style-specific interface and access to 11 advanced modules mean that users can quickly dial in great vocal sounds without being creatively restricted."

The new Nectar plugin is ideal for audio engineers, voice-over artists, singer / songwriters, recording enthusiasts, Podcasters, and anyone else who records sung or spoken vocals. Its many musical styles cover genres such as alternative, indie, blues, R&B, classical, country, dance, electronica, hip-hop, rap, jazz, pop, rock, and spoken word.

At-a-glance features for Nectar:

  • 11 Vocal processing modules: Pitch Correction, Breath Control, Compressors, DeEsser, Doubler, Saturation, EQ, Gate, Limiter, Delay, and Reverb
  • Select an included style and then customize it with faders for that style
