The Pretenders Pretend To Use Guitar Effects

A mighty effects rig won't make you a better guitar player, it'll just get you a mighty effects rig. James Walbourne of The Pretenders has a pretty decent rig, but he's more about playing his guitar with his hands than his feet. Point in case, that Line 6 DL4 is awfully nice and versatile to just be used for slap back!

Why?
I know the interview was about how he does NOT use effects, so there was really a point of going through all the effects. But you could have kept the camera on the board for more than two seconds? At least have filmed the filmed the effects when he was talking about them??? Pointless.
