Guitarist Jim Davies is a different kind of axe-man. Having recorded and toured with The Prodigy and played live with DJ Hyper, Jim's playing style has been tempered by the unusual recording situations he's found himself in. Like he says, most of the guys he's recorded with wouldn't know how to mic an amp if their lives depended on it. Thus, a lot of his recorded tone comes direct out of the back of a Rocktron Chameleon, or similar effects unit.

Jim spoke with Pat Ogle about his approach to effects, and about how he was inspired to make the bold leap into the world of guitar instrumental music (and yes, he knows how that sounds).
