122nd AES Video: Jocavi Acoustic Panels, Part 1
Dan Agosto drops by the Jocavi Acoustic Panels exhibit at AES in Vienna and walks us through some of the options. Irregularly shaped surfaces on walls sharply reduce the reflection of sound and are commonly used in professional recording studios and spaces. There's more than one way to be irregular as this Gearwire video shows.
Check out the Part 2 companion video to this one at Gearwire.
DAN AGOSTO: Hi. I’m Dan Agosto here at the Jocavi booth at the 122nd AES in Vienna, and we’re taking a look at some of these very interesting not only in what they do but also very interesting in how they appear. These are different acoustical solutions from Jocavi.
Here we see a two-dimensional diffuser ceramic. What was the...? Oh, this is a polyurethane diffuser, and here we see this pinewood. Also another wooden -- Here’s an absorption device. Here we see two mid range absorption panels. And if we pan over here, we see the bass traps. Over here is for the low frequencies, and it kind of keeps the bass from building up in the corners, and up here we see this column and that helps a lot with the mid range frequencies.
So, this is part of the product line for the Jocavi Acoustic Panels, and thanks for checking them out here at Gearwire.Com.
