Getting Inside Classic Gear With UA's Joe Bryan
April 07, 2006
In this audio interview Joe Bryan, the mind behind Universal Audio's UAD-1 DSP plugins, talks to Gearwire about the art and science of physically modeling classic analog gear. And folks, when Joe says "physical modeling," he means down to the quantum behavior within individual circuit components. Pretty neat stuff. With stints at Ensoniq and Korg's R&D department under his belt, Joe can easily be considered one of the instigators of the DSP revolution. So if names like Fairchild 670, Teletronix LA-2A, and Neve 1073 mean anyhting to you, you won't want to miss Gearwire's interview with Joe Bryan.
