Citing the Neumann U47 as its A-#1 crush, the KEL HM-7U seeks to reproduce the classic mic's glossy, detailed audio reproduction. By pairing the capsule with dual-FET, transformerless circuit, KEL makes me wonder why they didn't cite the TLM-47 instead in their press release copy.
