Korg DTR-1000 Rackmount Digital Tuner Makes a Hard Task a Little Less Hard for Kylesa

Korg DTR-1000 Kylesa

In a perfect world, guitars would tune themselves. Well it ain't no perfect world, especially if you're a hard driving metal band with two drumsets and a penchant for tuning way down low. They're only one and a half steps away from tuning their E-strings down entire octaves, effectively making Fieldy jealous while simultaneously writing much better music than the rubber-band punching nu-metal bassist could imagine.

Laura Pleasants and Phillip Cope of Kylesa let us in on the simple trick they've developed to at least make their tuning easier, plus the gear they use in the studio for the task -- the Korg DTR-1000.
