The fire of vintage appeal doesn't seem to be extinguished. Rumors about the Korg SV1 Stage Piano, a new keyboard instrument reminiscent of the electric pianos and combo organs of yesteryears, have been circulating around the internet since getting its introduction in Korg's native homeland, Japan. Given its red vintage looking exterior, is it possible that Nord all of the sudden has a formidable rival?

As of this time, there has been no official word from Korg with regard to the new Korg SV1, and all sources of current information regarding it comes from poorly and literally translated information from Japanese web sites care of Google translation. What we know as of this time, besides the aesthetics, is the fact that it will come in 76- and 88-key versions and will contain the following specs:
