The weeks following a huge tradeshow are marked by the handing out of awards for "best in show" in various categories. MusikMesse 2007 in Frankfurt is no exception and has been handing out the lucite this week - also known as the MusikMesse International Press Award.

You can check out the full roster of winners at the MIPA website, but let's single out Korg for special mention, because they are on a roll with the MIPAs.

Korg won praises at the 8th annual Musikmesse International Press Award (MIPA) Ceremony, held March 29th in Frankfurt, Germany. The Musical Instrument/Pro Audio community gathered to recognize outstanding contributions throughout the industry, honoring Korg for its achievements in product development:

• Best Keyboard Workstation -- Korg M3
• Best DJ Tool -- Korg KP3 KAOSS PAD

The award represents Korg's third win in as many years in the Keyboard Workstation category and second win in a row for best DJ Tool.

The ceremony was attended by more than 300 international representatives of music/audio-related manufacturers and distributors. In preparation for the awards, 107 magazines from around the world compiled a list of nominees in over 40 categories, from which the final winners were chosen.
