Krakli Releases StringZ2: Free VSTi
May 16, 2007
As anybody who keeps up with the Gearwire Crosstalk Show or Program knows, Krakli is a well liked VST developer around here. Well, once again we turn our browsers towards his free synth page to download the latest creation.
This time it is a significant update to the popular StringZ VST. StringZ2 is a windows only VST that is used to, you guessed it, simulate string sounds. Of course the aesthetic of the StringZ was a fairly synthy one and the StringZ2 does not stray from this. Here is the description from the site:
A new and much 'Improved' version of StringZ, we present StringZ2. Now much more capable of providing pad ensemble sounds as well as the PM sounds that StringZ was famous for. This version boasts the keyscale controls first introduced in Rticul8r. Here they can be used to good effect to fine tune the filter or harmonics across the keyboard. This version also has a reverb unit built in that can become part of the voice architecture. Complete with a full bank of 128 presets which have been kindly contributed by Tim Conrardy and Himalaya showing the full range of this distinctive keyboard.Visit the Krakli free synth page to get the file and listen to an mp3 demo.
Visit the Krakli website to see more synths, many of them free.
