LePou Plugins HyBrit Series: Inverted Acronyms, British Character, Original Cutting Edge Sound
The LePou Plugins HyBrit Series cannot just be mistaken for another British amp emulation. While your standard British Amp emulation offers that nice overdriven British warmth to your guitar signal, LePou thought that he could offer more than just being British. The resulting product was that of a tweak to the original design plus another channel for much wider variety.
As the name suggests, the HyBrit Series is a hybrid amp plugin based on two famous models from a certain British manufacturer. The first channel named the PLS is a hybrid of the normal and treble channels of the original hardware it seeks to emulate. The PLS MIX knob allows users to create their own signal blend. The second channel named the MCJ is also a tweaked version of the real hardware one.
The LePou HyBrit Series doesn't really represent or try to exactly copy the Marshall SLP or JCM models (even though the inverted acronyms suggest it). Think about this plugin as being inspired by the said British amplifiers with their own characteristic warmth and cutting edge bite. The HyBrit Series comes in preamp only, head, and full stack plugins. When using the full stack version, the HyBrit sounds best with an IR file that models either a Marshall JCM or SLP. Another option would be to run the head version through LePou LeCab plus AcmeBarGig Cab Enhancer (this option worked well for me). Like its friends from AcmeBarGig, LePou's plugins are cost free.

This sounds amazing! F*cking brilliant...and FREE!! HTH are software companies going to keep charging for models that sound inferior to what developers like AcmeBarGig and LePou offer freely?!
