The successful line of Spider III amplifiers have given Line 6 enough juice to cater for more innovation, fresh features, and updates. This thrust has led to its latest line of modeling amplifiers, the Line 6 Spider IV.

The new Spider IV series are composed of five combos and one powerful head. Four flagship amplifiers come in the form of the 75-, 120-, and 150-watt combos and the 150-watt amp head. With over 500 presets, 300 of which crafted by 50 world-famous guitarists and 200 that have been inspired by famous guitar songs, a dizzying amount of choices are present in these flagship models. They also come with 16 latest and most advanced Line 6 amp models, 20 brilliant onboard Smart FX, built-in 14-second looper, and others. All effects can be edited as well as up to four effects can be used simultaneously. The 15-watt Spider IV combo has four amp models and six Smart FX (two of which can be used simultaneously), and the 30-watt Spider IV combo has six amp models and seven Smart FX (three can be used simultaneously).

Foot control options are also available since the Line IV series is compatible with the FBV Foot Controllers such as the FBV Shortboard MkII, FBV Express™ MkII and FBV2. Everything from controlling wah wah to channel switching in the Spider IV series can be handled by these controllers. Other convenience features come in the way of a built-in tuner, CD/MP3 player input, three-band EQ, and a headphone/direct recording output port.
