Line 6 X2 XDS-Plus: Cancel Your Cable And Go Satellite
Line 6, who recently acquired X2 digital, announces that the new Line 6 X2 XDS-Plus guitar wireless system provides total freedom. With the government so heavily vested in wiretapping, maybe wireless is the way to go. I've often felt that the government has been listening in and even censoring my guitar tone on some of my more sensual wah solos. Maybe wireless is the answer.
The X2 XDS-Plus offers a 200 foot range, which Line 6 points out is the length of an entire hockey rink. Save that for bar trivia night; it might come in handy. Line 6 even bites back at analog purists with the claim that this system doesn't cause any high-end and low-end roll-off typical to analog wireless devices.
Its frequency response ranges from 10 Hz to 20 kHz, almost as if you were using a cable. It also defends against static, jams and dropouts thanks to shielding dual-RF technology. That means no more mischievous signals errantly possessing your wireless signal.
It's built almost as ruggedly as Mike Haggar. The receiver is built from metal, and the bodypack transmitter is a polycarbonate blend that was impact-tested to 300 pounds. It's real plug and play. . . or should I say don't plug and play.
