Bill Holland is back fooling around with the free VSTs again -- this time it's the LinPlug Alpha 3 Free, a handy and powerful tool for rendering favorite tunes from your childhood almost unrecognizable.  

From the guys who brought you popular titles SaxLab, LinPlug is back with RMV. It's the fifth version of this software which serves as a drum synthesizer, drum sampler, audio loop slicer and drum librarian all in one.  

Let's face it. We've all heard sax presets on synths that sound better suited for the cow setting on See & Say toys. Linplug SaxLab 2 brings back their dedicated software sax synth, and it promises that it will kill again.  

LinPlug teams up with Italian sound designer (and assumed heroic, turtle smashing plumber) Luigi Raimondi for a set of complex sounds and loops for use with Rob Papen Albino. Albino Landscape Sound Set is the fifth of LinPlug's releases that boost up the sounds in Albino.  

I:Scintilla are a Champaign (and soon to be Chicago)-based act that started the musical trek in 2003. Most of that year was spent writing and recording without a vocalist.

Realtime sample tweaking is what CronoX from LinPLug is known for. This VST and AU plug has a knack for handling the transformation of sample types: kicks can become pads, strumming becomes percussion, you know the drill....
