GRETCHEN HASSE: Welcome back to Gearwire.Com. This is Gretchen Hasse at a fantastic booth with John Diles of Livewires, and Mr. Diles, could you tell us a little bit about your product?

JOHN DILES: Well, Livewires is only eight months old. We took a look at the in-ear monitor world and kind of figured out that there’s -- We didn’t figure this out. We read that there’s a 110 million people wearing iPods, and you know, when you go to see a performer live, you see that they’ve been fitted for an in-ear monitor, and there’s a lot of reason that professional musicians have been fitted. One is that it cancels so much background noise, and two is it’s extremely comfortable. They’re durable. There’s just a whole lot of reasons to be custom fitted to your device. So, we looked at the other companies that are out there and we said, “Gosh, we should try this and put these out at an affordable price that possibly consumers can tolerate,” and so that’s what we’re doing.

GRETCHEN HASSE: So you said that there was a lot of -- You were mentioning earlier, as you were talking to some of these people getting fitted, that there are quite a few well known people that are using these devices right now.

JOHN DILES: Well, we have, in our short time, we’ve got quite a few well known people wearing our ears right now. Right here are some well known people. Folks from Steely Dan are wearing our ears. We’ve been really successful when it came to the Western world. Toby Keith wears our ears. My business partner is Toby’s monitor engineer. So, as a result of our connections with Toby, we’ve worked with like Miranda Lambert, who is his opening act, and it goes on and on. The Dierks Bentley wears our ears. Now, I’m not saying that these -- Toby is pretty much an endorser. Dierks, I can’t say that but it is true that they wear our ears, so Sara Evans, Jo Dee Messina, Joe Diffie. It goes on and on.

GRETCHEN HASSE: So, what we’re going to do, I’m going to be a bit of a guinea pig here because I haven’t had enough fun in New York yet, so...

JOHN DILES: [LAUGHING] Yeah, right.

GRETCHEN HASSE: ...I’m going to be fitted for -- All right. We’ll just take a little break and you’ll be able to see me being custom fitted for these inner ear devices. I’m taking one for the job.

JOHN DILES: Not inner ear. It won’t be. That’s your external ear.

GRETCHEN HASSE: I’m sorry. Thank you.

JOHN DILES: Everything down to your eardrum is officially your outer or external ear. Then your middle ear is where from your eardrum down to the oval window, and then anything on in is your cochlea and that’s your inner ear, and that’s where the sense of balance comes and the sense of --

GRETCHEN HASSE: So, we’re doing nothing to the inner ear?

JOHN DILES: Weird.

GRETCHEN HASSE: [LAUGHING]

JOHN DILES: I will lose my [PH] ear mold license if we do anything to your inner ear, so.

GRETCHEN HASSE: Thank you for that correction. Let’s take a look at how this works.

JOHN DILES: Okay. All right.
