It's time to play that funky music -- Loopmasters has released Funk Bass, a collection of bass loops and patches by UK-based composer and bass extraordinaire, Keith Holden.

Funk Bass is not just another ordinary bass loop package, Loopmasters says. This collection of professional loops features fresh, unique, realistic bass sounds designed to give your composition an organic groove. All loops were recorded using Overwater basses, both 4- and 5-string (High C). According to Loopmasters, the performances feature both slap and finger-style funk bass inspired by players such as Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Randy Jackson, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, and Mark King.

The 382 MB sample library includes 355 24-bit samples with 340 loops at a tempo of 110 to 120 BPM and 15 one-shot bass samples. There is also one patch for HALion, Kontakt, EXS, SFZ, and Reason NNXT soft samplers. Apple Loops, Ableton Live Pack, and Reason ReFill versions are also available separately.

All in all, Funk Bass offers 60 solid groove loops, 90 funky slap loops, 34 Moog pedal bass lines, 48 synth bass arpeggios, 50 effected bass loops, 58 finger-style bass loops, and 1 bass multi-sampled instrument. All loops and sounds are royalty-free, ready to go in future funk, disco, house, or breaks.
