One of Ludwig's standby snares has long been the Black Beauty, but today, Ludwig's Black Nickel-Over-Brass shell composition snare drums joins the dark side. Ludwig introduces their Black Magic snare, which takes the torch from the Black Beauty and runs with it before invoking demons with some ancient spells from the Necronomicon.

Boasting voluminous, tonally clear and responsive play, the Black Magic snare comes in three sizes: the Black Magic 5”x14” Model, Black Magic 6.5”x14” Model and Black Magic 7”x13” Model.

Though the shell type is the same as used on the Black Beauty, the Black Magic offers some nice upgrades. Matching Die-Cast hoops increase volume and Tube-Style lugs maximize resonance.
