John Thomas Griffith of Cowboy Mouth runs his two Marshall JCM 2000s in stereo, but in a rather unique setup that he describes in this video. Basically, only one amp's power section is being utilized for amplification, leaving the other amp available for photo shoots and random insults.

JOHN THOMAS GRIFFITH: Hi. I’m John Thomas Griffith and I’m the lead guitarist and pianist for the band Cowboy Mouth from New Orleans, Lousiana.
What we have here, we have two Marshalls. We have JCM2000’s. These old Marshall cabinets are mine from the early ‘70s. As you can tell, they’ve been war torn with the sound of which the same. They got Celestions in them, and we have it wired so that they’re in stereo. They -- This one is kind of a dummy head on the left, and what we do is we have it wired so that when we come out of our effects loop here at the pedal, it goes back through here and one side goes into this head and one goes into this head. This head doesn’t power anything. It just acts as a conduit for the return for the digital delay.
It is an unusual setup where we kind of happenstanced on it, you know. We were running a separate delay on the back side. We had it mounted by Velcro on the back of the cabinet. That got a little tedious then we just kind of said, you know, scale down to this way because we couldn’t always rely on that. You know, when you’re in a hurry, you got to do something like a throw and go at a festival. You can’t always rely that that it doesn’t get reset or something like that or somebody bangs a knob or something that gets you just kind of, so we just cut our losses and went straight to the pedalboard here.
