Marshall JCM900, Stompboxes With Batteries: John 5's Simple Pleasures
December 19, 2009
Plenty of guitarists love the legendary Marshall JCM900, primarily because no two players sound the same through one. John 5 is one of the most individual voices in guitar today, and here he tells us about how the JCM900 helps amplify his impressively diverse playing vocabulary. From chicken-pickin' to blindingly fast speed metal, if it's fast, John 5 plays it, and plays it through his JCM900.
Additionally, Mr. 5 talks about the benefits of simplicity in a touring rig, and why he always uses batteries in his stomp effects.

Sweet picture of him with the Mode 4...
John 5 actually uses Mode Fours
Nice clip, but he doesn't mention the JCM 900 he uses as a backup at all. He actually uses 2 mode fours when he is with Zombie as his primary amps.
Guess you missed the first 30 seconds
He says he NOW uses the JCM 900 in like the first 30 seconds.
