AES Vienna Video: The Unbreakable MB Quart QP 805 Headphone
While on the floor of the 122nd AES Convention in Vienna, Austria we were approached by Willi Presutti, one of the representatives from the MB Quart booth. He asked me if I was happy with the headphones I was using while recording audio at the convention. I told him that the cheap Aiwa's I used for the trade show events were fine for what I do since I know they are gonna get roughed up on the road.
Well, Willi lead me to his booth and plugged my Aiwa's into a distribution amp that was playing some adult contempo. Of course it didn't sound that great. He handed me a pair of the QP 805's and it sounded impressive, comparable to headphones that cost upwards of $200. I took off his headphones admitting it sounded really nice. I also told him that I couldn't reconcile bringing headphones of this quality on location fearing they would break. In response he dropped the QP 805's on the ground and stepped on them.
Check out this video of the QP 805 from MB Quart, a brand of MAXXSONICS.
PETER: Hello. My name is Peter from MB Quart in Germany. I want to introduce to you the QP 805 monitor, the indestructible headphone.
Basically, it will give you everything with this headset and with this headphone which you like. You can step on it even if you like.
DAN AGOSTO: Step on it.
[PETER STEPPING ON THE MB QUART QP 805 HEADPHONES]
DAN AGOSTO: Wow.
PETER: It just doesn’t break, and cable, superior cable, it doesn’t break either. You can do anything you like with it. Of course there are certain restrictions but with the basic rough use it’s unbreakable. Frequency response goes from -- I have to check actually. It goes from 20 Hz to 33,000 Hz. Good use for production, for mixing, any use you would like for musicians in studios, for home use even. You can even use with portable devices because of the low impedance. So, I would say check our web site and buy our headphones.

Does the company still exist?
Peter,
Does the company still exist? The weblink is dead and I tried googling as well. Only found the American distributor.
I have a studio in Jakarta, Indonesia and headphones are the ones that break ALL the time, so we need to invest in something that last longer and sound good. (or we can go the cheaper headphones alternative)
MAXXSONICS out of the USA
MAXXSONICS out of the USA bought MB Quart, they do still exist and they do still make great products you just have to contact them through MAXXSONICS from now on. Hope that helps.
