Digidesign MBox 2 Micro: The Portable Pro Tools Rig You Can Easily Lose Inside Your Sofa Cushions
We got our magnifying glasses out to take a look at the MBox 2 Micro. It's by far the smallest rig that allows mixing and editing for Pro Tools. It even supports virtual instruments.
Then we set some ants on fire. That was pretty rad.
BILL HOLLAND: Welcome back to Gearwire.Com. We are live in Anaheim at Winter NAMM 2008, and I’m here at the Digidesign booth and you guys have something special for us. What’s going on?
DIGIDESIGN REPRESENTATIVE: We got all kinds of cool things. I think first thing to talk about is our brand new MBox 2 Micro, which is the smallest, most portable Pro Tools LE system ever.
BILL HOLLAND: Awesome.
DIGIDESIGN REPRESENTATIVE: This is ultimately a solution that many, many of our customers have been asking for for quite a while. It’s a portable Pro Tools editing and mixing rig. You can also create with virtual instruments with this thing and take on the airplane. You’ve got really high quality output, a little volume knob there and headphone connection. So, that’s the MBox 2 Micro.
BILL HOLLAND: Nice.
