McDSP Emerald Pack 3.0 Is Like A Plugin Party In Your Comuter

May 09, 2008
McDSP Emerald Pack 3.0 Comes Out

The third version of Emerald Pack has been McReleased by the wild and crazy guys at McDSP. Its roster features the new DE555 De-Esser, FutzBox Lo-Fi Distortion Effects and NF575 Noise Filter plug-ins.

The DE555 ushers in a whole new era of de-essing technology by de-throning the last generation. It provides transparent, precise de-essing that's more flexible than a Romanian gymnast (though any evidence to prove this is unavailable). FutzBox provides distortion and noise to create lo-fi versions of your audio signal. Lastly, the NF575 does a one-eighty as a high-res filter that removes noise types from audio -- so use FutzBox and NF575 in combination to obtain your original audio signal.

It's also not lacking in existing programs, featuring the following McDSP favorites:

  • Analog Channel
  • Channel G
  • Chrome Tone
  • CompressorBank
  • FilterBank
  • MC2000
  • ML4000
  • Revolver
  • Synthesizer One

Emerald Pack 3.0 supports Mac OS 10.5, but don't say we didn't warn you. It also supports OS 10.4, Digidesign Vista and Windows XP.
