MHC Attack Kits Missed A Good Subtitle Opportunity: "The Bash Doctrine"
The "drum plugin with synth effects" plugin bundle just got a whole lot meaner with the addition of the new MHC Attack Kits.
Attack kits are similar to the acoustic kits in that they are derived from "real" drum sounds, but they are voiced more aggressively for more intense, driving and brasher drum lines.
Attack Kits is available as part of the MHC Drum Plugin Bundle, which also features "Acoustic Kits," "Ambient Kits" and "Electronic Kits." With the addition of "Attack Kits," the bundle now includes four instruments with twelve soundpacks (three each). The bundle can be further augmented with the download of twelve additional soundpacks, giving the user 4,096 presets to explore, 480 preprogrammed drum kits and thousands of drum samples to use.
The MHC Drum Plugins double as sample players with synth functions built in (albeit with a specific focus on drums and percussion functions). The synth section contains resonant filters, traditional filter and amp envelopes, a pitch LFO and even effects, all tuned for use with acoustic or electronic drum and percussion samples.
All this can be yours for $99 US, which, when you think about it, isn't mean at all. In fact, it's kinda nice.
