Country music artist Blake Shelton and the Michael Kelly Guitar Company have joined forces to release the new Blake Shelton Signature Guitar.

Based on the company’s line of Patriot electric guitars, the new signature electric model sports a camouflage design motif on the body and headstock and shares many of the same features as the other Patriot guitars.

Shelton recently received an Academy of Country Music Award for “Vocal Event of the Year” and is now nominated for a 2010 CMT Music Award for collaborative video of the year. So far in his career, Shelton has charted six No. 1 Country hits to date, and he is known for his song “Hillbilly Bone,” a duet with country music luminary Trace Adkins.

The Blake Shelton Signature guitar is a solid-body electric with a thick, deeply arched maple top, mahogany body and neck, ebony fingerboard, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and two Rockfield humbucking pickups. The new signature model is said to produce big, rich tones with excellent sustain and an articulate treble response, thanks to its thick maple top.
