Mighty Bright Xtraflex: For The Handful Of Musicians Who Can Sight Read

December 23, 2008
Mighty Bright Xtraflex

Whether you're reading music, scoping out your console settings or just looking for that pick you keep dropping, the Mighty Bright Xtraflex Duet LED light can be a blessing dressed as a curse dressed as a gooseneck light. That's one hell of a costume.

Regardless of use, Juan Dies of Sones de Mexico shows us how he finds this LED light useful on stage.

JUAN DIES: My name is Juan Dies with Sones de Mexico Ensemble.

Another wonderful little gadget is the Mighty Bright light. There’s a of these reading lights made for people who want to read in bed but they’re not functional for musicians. You can carry around one of those large orchestra type lights but they have to be plugged in, they have to run AC power to your station, and they finally made this little light. It has two LED lights and it clips on to the back of your music stand like so, and you can have light on both pages.

Stages are usually well illuminated but when you go to a blackout between songs and you have to go into the next one and all of the sudden you can’t see anything, this is really helpful. It’s dim enough that it’s not going to ruin the blackout. You can also use it to light up a board that doesn’t come with illumination or any other spot place where you need a bright light. So, this is the Mighty Bright light.
