Milab VM‐44 Supercardioid Interchangeable Capsule Introduced
From Helsingborg, Sweden, microphone manufacturer Milab introduced the VM-44 Supercardioid interchangeable capsule, the company's latest addition to the VM-44 range.
According to Milab, the new VM-44 capsule has been designed to provide the same natural sound that has made the VM-44 range the best-selling Milab system, ever. The VM-44 Supercardioid can be purchased on its own as a separate capsule or as part of a bundle with one of the three amplifiers in the VM-44 system: the VM-44 Classic, the VM-44 Link, or the VM-44 Gooseneck. The VM-44 Supercardioid follows the previously released VM-44 Cardioid and VM-44 Omni capsules.
The VM-44 Supercardioid offers a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, max sound pressure level (SPL) of 140 dB (with -12 dB pad), sensitivity at 1 kHz: 15 mV / PA ±1 dB, and A-weighted noise level of 21 dB. The new capsule comes with a lifetime warranty and ships with its own individual frequency chart.
About the mic capsule, Mattias Strömberg, marketing manager for Milab, said, "We have had many customers asking for a super / hyper capsule for the VM-44 system -- especially in the U.S. So we are really happy to be able to present this new product. Not only is it a great sounding capsule, it makes the VM-44 system even more versatile."
