Mildon Studios Provoc Primer: Vocal Effect Processor Introduced
Prime your vocals for the prime-time spotlight with Mildon Studios Provoc Primer, a new vocal effect processor for Windows.
Provoc Primer allows you to process vocals in a matter of seconds and features a single Shape control that applies EQ and Compression to vocals. According to Mildon Studios, the vocal effect is designed to give you a consistent starting point for each vocal track, which is especially useful when working with albums or single tracks with many vocal parts.
The effect's simple interface displays a graph of the EQ that will be applied to the sound. You can drag the level line up and down to adjust the amount of shaping. A small amount of compression can be applied, enough to “glue” the vocals together, but still leaving room for further compression down the chain. Moreover, the Shape control affects both EQ and Compression.
To use the Provoc Primer vocal effect processor, simply insert it as the first plugin in your chain. If you are using a noise gate, however, insert Provoc Primer right after the noise gate. Then choose a preset, or simply drag the level line up and down until you reach a good starting point for your vocals. After that point, you can add more plugins if you like.
Provoc Primer for Windows (VST) is now available for the introductory price of $14.50 instead of the regular price of $29. For more information on Mildon Studios Provoc Primer, please visit mildonstudios.com.
