Urban Guitar Loops Library Released
Inside the hip-hop studios of the world, a new sound has taken hold by the ears and won't let go. A mysterious new instrument is appearing on every other track, showing up in thousands of MPC 2500s, decorating beats at an alarming rate. This new arrival can be heard on tracks by Neptunes, Kanye West, Timbaland, Dr. Dre and many others, building curiosity about this exotic new soundmaking machine.
What is the name of this wonderful, newfangled sonic device? It's called an acoustic guitar.
Sample librarians Modernbeats.com have released a new collection of Acidized WAV files named Urban Guitar Loops for those situations when a hip-hop producer may have a hard time finding a specialist in this instrument. (These specialists are called guitar players and can take up to several minutes to find on most streetcorners.)
The Urban Guitar Loops library contains four tempo groups (87bpm, 92bpm, 97bpm and 102bpm) with about thirty guitar themes per group arranged in "hook" and "verse" variations. The audio demos reveal a pretty conteporary set of loops delivering a quasi-classical mood one might call "Wyclefian".
Urban Guitar Loops Library lists at $59.95
