Mojave Audio MA-300 Tube Condenser: David Royer Explains It All (Video)

Mojave Audio MA-300 David Royer 129th AES 2010

David Royer is nothing if not sensitive to the needs of his customers. Well OK, he's also a genius microphone designer, but the newest mic from his (first) company, Mojave Audio, is apparently the product of attention paid to Mojave users.

Based on the MA-200 fixed-cardioid tube condenser, the Mojave Audio MA-300 offers continuously variable polar patters, as well as a -15db pad and bass cut. While the added variety of additional pickup patterns might be obvious, David explains to us the benefits of having pad and cut switches inline before your gain stage.
