Morpheus Droptune Effect Pedal: Look Boss, De-Tuner, De-Tuner (Video)
Why should you be curious about the Morpheus Droptune? Numerous reasons. Say you've trudged through the tablature transcription of -- for example -- Change (In The House Of Flies), and you've got yourself all set to play along with the original recording, only to discover that the song was recorded three half-steps below standard tuning (I'm guessing, here, w/r/t that specific example). Or, say you're in a wedding band and a black metal cover band (it could happen), and you'd really rather not get your vintage Paul re-set-up every time you bounce between genres–nor would you like to have to buy a second $2,000 axe just to play with a band who -- let's be honest -- is having a hell of a time booking any Bar / Bat Mitzvahs.
As Owen dutifully demonstrates, the Morpheus Droptune pedal allays all these concerns, and more! For the most part. This digital effect can drop your standard-tuned axe three half-steps down and still track and retain note separation with impressive facility. It even does a full octave drop and a lovely octaver-down effect. So how does it sound? Peep this video demo and find out for yourself.

This unit is a great invention. I must buy one.
Morpheus Droptune
Putchased one of these but returned it same day. The latency made it impossible to record with. It took my perfectly intonated guitar and turned it into a harsh monster. If this thing worked it would be a godsend - not there yet.
Did you install the firmware
Did you install the firmware upgrade? It was night and day for me after I did.
