Muse Research Receptor 2 Now With Solid State Drive
Hardware plugin hosts just got even better, faster, and more efficient, according to Muse Research and Development, Inc., who just announced a new Solid Sate Drive (SSD) technology option for the Receptor 2 Pro line of hardware plugin players, which includes the Receptor 2 Pro and Pro Max.
SSD increases the data throughput of the Receptor 2 Pro and Pro Max and provides lower latency at the same time. It also replaces a traditional rotating hard drive with solid state drive technology with no moving parts. Sounds high-tech.
You also get an additional 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, which with the aid of the other nifty features that come with SSD, will seriously increase polyphony, reduce boot time, give faster sample loading, and make it easier and faster to run sample-based programs. Users of Vienna libraries and such would find the Receptor 2 SSD option quite attractive.
